Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Friday: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM
Job overview for the Material Handler role:
SMS Staffing is seeking experienced Material Handlers with a strong background in shipping and receiving, warehouse staging, in-bond/out-bond processing, and RF scanner operations.
Key responsibilities for the Material Handler role:
Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing materials.
Stage materials for shipments, deliveries, production, and storage.
Process in-bond/out-bond transactions and maintain accurate documentation.
Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify materials.
Operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Load, unload, transport, and store materials safely.
Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required paperwork.
Follow all safety procedures when handling hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required qualifications for the Material Handler Role:
Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.
Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to follow safety procedures in a safety-sensitive environment.
