SMS Staffing is hiring CDL Class A Driver in Lake County,IL!

Job Title: CDL Class A Driver
Pay Rate: Approximately $27–$30/hr.
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are looking for dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A Drivers to transport materials between customer and warehouse locations. Recent CDL school graduates are encouraged to apply! 

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.

  • Complete pickups, deliveries, and trailer swaps.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

  • Maintain accurate paperwork and delivery records.

  • Communicate with dispatch regarding schedules and delays.

  • Follow all DOT and company safety requirements.

CDL Driver Requirements:

  • Valid CDL Class A license and current DOT medical card.

  • Clean and acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers.

  • Reliable attendance and strong communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.

  • Transportation, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience is a plus, and new CDL graduates are welcome!
